Easy Homemade Recipe of the Week, Issue #002 -- Chai Latte Recipe Mix
January 19, 2014
Want a coffee alternative to your morning routine?

Here's a nice "comfort" recipe for those chilly days. Chai lattes are easy to make and so delightful to your taste buds. With a few simple ingredients, you'll be shocked at the resemblance of this copycat recipe to your favorite chai!

Most of these ingredients are probably already in your cupboards. This recipe makes a nice vanilla chai mix but I would love to try it with some pumpkin creamer to make a pumpkin chai as well.

What You'll Need

1 cup nonfat dry milk powder

1 cup powdered non-dairy creamer

1 cup French vanilla flavored powdered non-dairy creamer

2 1/2 cups white sugar

1 1/2 cups unsweetened instant tea

2 teaspoons ground ginger

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon ground cardamom

After I mixed everything up, I ran it through the food processor to give it a powdery form. This helps the flavors blend even better as they sit and meld together. I also added a piece of a vanilla bean into the chai tea mix.

To Serve: Add 2 rounded tablespoons to 12 oz of water. For a creamier drink you can add to milk...or my favorite is 1/2 almond milk 1/2 water.

*Feel free to forward this fun and easy chai recipe to anyone that you think may enjoy it!
