Get Rid of Wrinkles
Here are a few of my favorite home remedies! With just a few simple ingredients, many already found in your kitchen, you can quickly enjoy healthy aging naturally and effectively.
These are a few of my favorite wrinkle treatment remedies. Not that any of us need them of course... but you can pass them along to your favorite great aunt! :)
The following hints are natural and easy to try! You know I'm always sharing the benefits of coconut oil and other hints on healthy aging. But the research I've done on how to reduce wrinkles has gotten me very excited!
Most of the items needed to get rid of wrinkles can easily be found in your kitchen or online. I've posted links to my favorite online stores so you don't have to search!
1-Take Your Vitamin C-Inside and Out!
This is my favorite wrinkle treatment because it is so easy and so very effective! We all know that Vitamin C can be a cure all for the common cold but there is so much more! Topically, Studies at Tulane University have found that it can increase the production of collagen, protect against UVA sun damage, correct problems with pigmentation and improve inflammatory skin conditions. The production of new collagen is important in the effectiveness of skin elasticity.
Applying Vitamin C topically can be 20 times more effective than orally. When purchasing, look for products containing somewhere between 3-10% Vitamin C and has the active ingredient of ascorbic or L-ascorbic acid. Also, take care that the packaging is intact and is airtight and opaque packaging.
Use this each morning underneath your regular make up. Vitamin C also has sun-protecting properties which is an added bonus to your anti aging skin care. Want an extra hint...add a little Vitamin E for an extra wrinkle treatment.
2-Evening Primrose Oil for Healthy Aging
Evening Primrose Oil is a simple wrinkle treatment for anti aging skin care, has numerous skin benefits and rarely has any negative side effects. You can simply apply it to the face and neck regularly. If you don't want to apply the oil directly to your skin, you can take a primrose supplement of 500mg twice a day.
3-Take Vitamin D3 Daily for Healthy Aging
An easy way to help reduce wrinkles is by adding Vitamin D3 to your daily routine. For maximum results you should take up to 1000 IU daily. "Vitamin D3 contains DHA Omega 3 and helps to keep the brain & heart healthy."
4-Use a Weekly Egg White Facial Mask to Get Rid of Wrinkles
This healthy aging remedy is easy and inexpensive to try. In fact, it's a wrinkle treatment that you can start tonight. Simply whip together a few egg whites into a small glass bowl. Now, gently massage into your face and neck and relax with a nice glass of wine. After 20 minutes you can rinse the egg white mixture off of your face, leaving the Vitamin B and Vitamin E work their "wrinkle treatment" magic.
5-Have a Cucumber Facial For Healthy Aging
Cucumbers have been used to get rid of wrinkles for thousands of years. Instead of simply placing cucumber slices over your eyes, let's go all the way! Grate or blend up a whole cucumber and apply this over your face and neck. After 20 minutes-rinse off gently. The vitamins in a cucumber will help to reduce wrinkles and will moisturize your skin.
6-Enjoy Some Lemon Juice!
To reduce wrinkles, take a lemon wedge and gently massage the juice into the troubled spots on your face and neck. The acid in the lemon will brighten your skin while it's minimizing the appearance of wrinkles.
7-Use Witch Hazel as an Astringent to Reduce Wrinkles
Applying witch hazel to your wrinkles before going to bed will help smooth your skin and reduce wrinkles. Witch hazel contains anti-inflammatory properties, similar to white tea, that can aid your skin in fighting the sun, wind, and tobacco smoke. You'll want to get a quality witch hazel, many over the counter products have alcohol added to them and will work to dry out your face.
8-Have a Nightly Facial Massage With Natural Olive Oil for Healthy Aging
Another healthy aging tip is natural olive oil. This age old beauty treatment has been used for years in anti aging skin care to get rid of wrinkles. A gentle massage with a few drops before bedtime, followed by rinsing with a warm towel. You'll wake up to a refreshed and renewed you!
9-Make Your Own Anti-Wrinkle Cream to Reduce Wrinkles
This one sounds easy-peasy and very doable! Mix an egg with 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. Gently apply it to you face and neck, leaving it there for about 20 minutes. When it's dry, mix 1 teaspoon of baking powder into a bowl of hot water. Using a soft towel, wash the mixture off with the warm water.
10-Enjoy the Benefits of Coconut Oil Before Bedtime to Get Rid of Wrinkles
One of the best wrinkle treatments that I know of is coconut oil. The benefits of coconut oil are numerous. It helps to heal and repair damaged skin, while protecting you from the formation of damaging free radicals on your skin. Much has been written about the benefits of coconut oil here on this website and here is a great book, Coconut Oil for Health and Beauty.
11-Try This Lime Juice Concoction Before Sleeping to Get Rid of Wrinkles
Why yes, I do find this one a bit unconventional and must admit, tho it sounds interesting I haven't tried it yet...Three simple ingredients...a cup of whole milk, the freshly squeezed juice of a lime, and a teaspoon of glycerin. Stir well and let it sit and ruminate for about 30 minutes. Then apply this formula to your face, neck, hands and feet. Rumor has it that it helps to reduce wrinkles and is an effective wrinkle treatment.
12-Run a Humidifier Nightly in Your Bedroom as a Wrinkle Treatment
Running a humidifier in your home will help your skin stay moist. It is an easy addition to anti aging skin care and will help you sleep better as well! Add a nice essential oil into the water for even more benefits!
