My Favorite Homemade Laundry Soap Recipe
This is the Homemade Laundry Soap Recipe that works the best for my family. My husband works in construction and he comes home greasy, grimy and sweaty! But he likes his clothes clean & fresh! This cleaning recipe is one of my favorites!
Citric Acid is effective in making your own cleaning products as helps your soap to foam as well as acting as a highly effective water softener. It breaks down grease on your clothing as well as a natural bleaching agent. Citric Acid can be found easily on Amazon or at a local wine making shop.
Lemon & Black Pepper Essential Oils makes an invigorating blend
I use 1/8 C per load but experiment-many people use less

Since I make homemade soap, there are always stray bars around my house-any soap will work for this!
Simply grate the soap and add to the dry ingredients.

Basic Homemade Laundry Soap
It's pretty easy to make and quite effective. All of the ingredients can be found in the detergent aisle at a Wal-mart except the Baking Soda (4 pound box) is found in the baking section. This recipe contains all of the major players that we use in our environmentally friendly cleaning products.
This does make a very large amount so you may want to cut the recipe in half. There are plenty of other homemade cleaning products you can make with the left overs!
Step #1-Grate the bars of soap or cut into pieces and place into the food processor.
Step #2 – Pour all of the dry ingredients into a large container. I used a 5 gallon bucket and alternated the dry ingredients and the soap pieces. Now all you have to do is stir!
Step #3 –It's optional to add Essential Oil but I love the various essential oils recipes. Try 25 drops of the following or mix them up to make your favorite essential oils recipes!
I use a 1/8 C for each load. Some people recommend less but my husband is a hard-working, messy guy and 1/8 C works great for us!
Homemade Fabric Softeners give you an easy way to deal with static cling and fresh smelling laundry using three basic homemade cleaning ingredients:
Vinegar, Baking Soda, and your favorite Essential Oils Recipes.
These three items work with your homemade laundry soap recipe to disinfect your clothes.
