St Patrick Day Homemade Sugar Scrub

This homemade sugar scrub is so quick and easy that it should hardly qualify as it's own webpage.  But, I really want you to try it and see how easy it is to put together.  And the coconut oil leaves your skin amazingly soft!  With a simple Bail Jar, you can simply package this in a cute, little glass jar and give it as an easy homemade gift idea!

Ingredients You'll Need

1 Cup of Sugar

1/2 Cup of Coconut Oil

4 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil

Mica Skin-Safe coloring or a couple of drops of food color.

Where to get these ingredients:

buy coconut oil                buy Peppermint Essential Oil

  • Stir the sugar in with the skin-safe mica.  Mix it in evenly.  If you're using food coloring for this project, use just a couple of drops and add them in now.
  • Add your essential oils in now.  I used 4 drops of doTerra Essential Oil.
  • I use organic coconut oil that is in a solid form.  To measure it, I melt it in a shallow pan of water until it's liquid.  Then it's easy to pour and mix into the sugar mixture.

  • Slowly pour the coconut oil into the sugar mixture and stir your sugar body scrub, thoroughly.

  • And, that really is it!  Package into a pretty little jar and enjoy your sugar body scrub!

It's best to keep water out of your sugar body scrub.  Since this is an all-natural product with no preservatives, the introduction of water into your oil mixture will cause contamination and germy growth!
